Our Wines
601 Cellars produces hand-crafted, limited production, California wines made with “Off the Grid” Old World varietals that are hard to find. We source our grapes in small lots from premier vineyards in the Napa Valley and Sierra Foothills. Our fruit is picked ripe to bring out the bright, rich color and flavor of California fruit and aged for at least 24 months in neutral oak barrels to preserve the natural characteristics of each varietal. Our philosophy is make wines that are approachable to any palate or pocketbook and enjoyed any night of the week with pizza, pasta, family and friends.

2018 Napa Valley Reserve – Super Tuscan
Our 2018 Napa Valley Super Tuscan Napa Valley Reserve is 75% Sangiovese, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Merlot. After aging 24 months in French and Hungarian oak, this well-balanced vintage delivers ripe, dark fruit with smooth, supple tannins and an elegant finish. Delicious with most foods, it drinks well on its own but tastes best shared with family and friends.

2019 Reserve Sangiovese

Our 2019 Napa Valley Sangiovese Reserve, aged 24 months in French and neutral oak barrels, is layered with ripe plum, red cherry and hints of tobacco. It’s charismatic tannins complement just about any food from cheese to grilled meats and anything Italian. Stands well on its own but shows its best side with family and friends.

2019 Grenache – Napa Valley
NAPA VALLEY- Heritage McGah Vineyard
Our 2019 Grenache is sourced from the renowned Heritage McGah Vineyard and aged 24 months in neutral oak barrels. A rare find, this medium-bodied wine is well balanced with juicy, ripe red fruit and fresh acidity. Dashed with a splash of Napa Valley Syrah, it has a nose of baking spices and violets, giving way to a palate of spicy cherries and white pepper. Spicy and alluring, it performs best when shared with family and friends.

2022 Rose’ of Grenache – Napa Valley
Our 2022 Rose’ of Grenache comes from the renowned McGah Family Heritage Vineyard in Rutherford, CA. Produced in the classic Provençal style, the grapes were picked early, gently pressed as whole clusters and barrel fermented, resulting in a pristine wine that quenches the palate with complex minerality, balanced acidity and delicate fruit. Perfect for sipping on a warm summer afternoon but sophisticated enough for the dining room.

Our 2016 Sierra Foothills Sangiovese, aged 18 months in French and neutral oak barrels, is medium bodied, layered with bright cherry fruit and has a spicy finish. This easy-going table wine has a penchant for cheeses, pasta or pizza. Stands well on its own but pairs best with family and friends.

2017 Napa Valley Reserve- Super Tuscan
Our 2017 Napa Valley Reserve- Super Tuscan is comprised of 80% Sangiovese, 12% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. After aging 24 months in French and Hungarian Oak, this full bodied rebel is elegant and fruit forward with dried cherry & plum notes. It’s long, smooth finish makes it easy to drink either paired with cheeses and Italian foods, anything from the grill or shared around a fire pit with family and friends.

2017 Grenache
Our 2017 Grenache is aged 26 months in Neutral barrels and 20% French Oak. Its flavor profile is reflective of the Sierra Foothills terroir- Vibrant with strawberry fruit, yet delicate and bright with medium tannins. An added splash of Syrah gives it a little spice. Fondly referred to as our “party wine”, it’s delicious with any appetizer, first course, or light fare and are perfect to open any night of the week.

Our 2018 Napa Valley Grenache comes from the McGah Family Heritage Vineyard in Rutherford, CA. This small family vineyard produces premium fruit resulting in a wine that is rich in color and high in aromatics. Aged for 24 months in neutral oak barrels, this wine is well balanced with hints of baking spice, white pepper, and dark fruit. Its supple tannins are round on the palate, delivering a long, elegant finish. Known for its versatility to drink with just about anything, it puts on its best performance shared with family and friends.
